 A three-month prison sentence has been given to the PSV supporter who attacked Sevilla goalie Marko Dmitrovic during a Europa League match on February 23.

It was previously reported that the 20-year-old fan entered the field of play late in the contest and struck the goalkeeper in the face.


Dmitrovic, who was unharmed by the punch, then fought the pitch invader to the ground until the officials kicked him out.

Sevilla advanced to the tournament's last-16 on the strength of a 3-2 overall victory over PSV, despite PSV winning the second leg of their Europa League quarterfinal play-off match 2-0.

After the pitch invader was apprehended, it was discovered that the Netherlands Football Association had previously banned him (KNVB). On the night of the incident, he entered the Phillips Stadium using a ticket acquired from a friend.


He has now been sentenced for three months, one month of which is 'conditional'.
